Henion 9 Features
§
By changing the cutterhead assembly you have the option of producing four different size diced pellets - 1/8", 3/32" or 1/32" and the NEW 3/16" from the same dicer
§
The HENION 9 Dicer is designed to process webs from approximately 3" to 9" maximum width. A nominal web thickness of 1/8" is recommended. The web can be generated from either a roll mill or extruder.
§
The HENION 9 Dicer will produce from 500 to 7000 pounds/hour of either OctaPellets or Cubes.
§
The HENION specially designed torque limiting assembly eliminates the need for an additional gearbox and reduces downtime.
§
The specially designed helical cutterhead that was invented by Clem Henion provides for quick change, less shock, quieter operation and the ability to dice a very broad range of resins.
§
The easy change of the cutterhead assembly and/or clean up is generally accomplished within a 1/2 hr.
§
The feed table assembly is constructed of minimum 3" thick steel machined to critical tolerances providing structural stability for the entire feed, slide plate and bed-knife assembly.
§
The feed table has TWO machined "ways" that accept special inserts that allow for the slide table to accurately move and precisely align the bed-knife with the cutterhead.
§
The precision spindle is manufactured from material that is hardened and ground to exacting specifications. The diameter is concentric and round to within .0002.
§
All parts that come in contact with the web are constructed of stainless steel.
§
Safety features included but are not limited to the following:
- A dynamic brake that when engaged stops the cutterhead rotating within 2-3 seconds.
- Web feed instantaneously stopped by 4-way switch, retracting upper feed roll.
-The cut off switch can be activated either manually or automatically by the integral safety gate.
-Cutter guard and covers must be in position before the dicer will operate
§
"V" belt driven to provide maximum power transmission, especially for low durometer, heavy or difficult to cut compounds.
§
Field engineer for one day’s start-up and training included with new or rebuilt dicers (travel expenses not included).
